TALK TALK APPOINT NEW HEAD OF DIRECT MARKETING
Talk Talk has appointed marketer Michele Lockwood as its head of direct marketing. Michele Lockwood joins the telecoms provider from Debenhams, where she was also head of direct marketing. Lockwood joined Debenhams in October 2006 and was charged with handling its £8m budget across its retail units for UK and Ireland.
Carphone Warehouse chief executive Charles Dunston is understood to be splitting the retail and broadband arms of the business.
The business’ retail and distribution arm which is now called Best Buy Europe, hit revenues of £1.62m for the period, up from £1.44m the year before. Group revenue, excluding Best Buy Europe, was down 2 per cent to £697m.
In the UK revenues were up 8 per cent to £779m, with the growth driven by the Apple iPhone and increased demand for mobile broadband.
