Phones 4u Bans Men From Store – Women Only!

Phones 4u plans to ban men from its flagship store this Wednesday, to launch its Sony Ericsson’s C905 Pink mobile, which is aimed at women.

The phone retailer will demonstrate the main features of the new mobile, which can only be bought from the Phones 4u store. Model, Lizzy Jagger will host the event in the London store, showing visitors a series of free style experiences the phone has to offer.

Phones 4u are redesigning three of its outlets for the promotions, Tottenham Court Road in London, Argyle Street in Glasgow and Market Street in Manchester.

The women-only launch was inspired by research conducted by Phones 4u which looked at what women wanted when they went shopping.

The results found that 46 per cent of women wanted a less male-centric and less intimidating shopping experience.

The women-only day will offer visitors to one of the participating stores a personalised photo-shoot using the phone’s 8 mega-pixel camera, and a complimentary nail, hair and makeup session.

To complete the day, guests can also have their fortune read, from a top fortune teller, plus an amazing chance to win a VIP photo session with Jagger.

Lizzy Jagger will be on site to offer people fashion tips, and style advice, with a top DJ providing musical accompaniment throughout the day.

Russell Braterman, Phones 4u’s marketing director, said: “Now that we’ve seen the research findings we’ve listened to what women want and are pulling out all the stops.

“This is part of our ongoing commitment to listen to our customers and deliver a better and more personal service that will set us apart from our competitors.

“The events are to trial a new way of servicing our female clientele with an unintimidating girls-only experience.”
